OUR PURPOSE
To foster the appreciation of  historical keyboard
instruments, primarily the harpsichord, clavichord, and
fortepiano, through education and performance.

Membership support of the
Iowa City Early Keyboard Society:

Ensures that the Society can continue to bring world-class keyboard soloists and ensembles to Iowa City for concerts with no admission charge.

Creates a forum for music lovers to benefit from lectures and workshops given by concert artists, instrument builders, and scholars in the field of early music and the related arts.

Provides an opportunity and base of support for members, to develop interests and share information in an evolving, exciting early music organization.

In addition to our concert series,
ICEKS members enjoy:

informal recitals
•early keyboard literature
•techniques of playing
•tuning, maintenance and  building
•national styles of instruments
•listening to recordings

Meet and socialize regularly with others interested in early keyboard instruments and music.
